Coloring problems of aluminum castings

Oct. 14, 2019

There are many types of aluminum castings, such as furniture cast aluminum part and aluminum decoration base. Aluminum castings are basically divided according to the materials used. Generally, aluminum alloys contain a certain amount of silicon, although under normal circumstances. The effect of silicon content on alloy anodization is small. However, when the silicon content of the alloy is large, there is a great influence, which in turn affects the aluminum casting.

It is also the coloring problem of aluminum castings. The coloring is carried out immediately after anodizing. The oxide film itself is colorless and transparent. Therefore, the oxide film obtained by anodizing with sulfuric acid is more suitable for dyeing. Now more organic dyes are used. After coloring and coloring, the oxide film is sealed to obtain a corresponding color of the aluminum casting.

The casting process itself is made by selecting a material with a relatively moderate melting point of the metal, and casting it into various shapes by processing equipment, and applying it in different fields. However, due to the complicated casting process and complicated process, aluminum castings are easily damaged.

The more common aluminum casting damage is cracking. This is because the stress does not meet the requirements during the casting process, and there are many factors affecting the stress. It must be paid attention to in order to ensure that the aluminum casting has good quality.

In general, the damage of general aluminum casting products occurs in the processing of the latter batch of products, so the staff should properly adjust the temperature of the equipment and the operating environment of the equipment in the post-processing to ensure the high qualified rate of the products.

After the cast aluminum part is formed without any treatment, its performance is lacking, especially the corrosion resistance of the cast aluminum part. In order to enhance the surface properties of cast aluminum parts and prolong their life, it is necessary to add a protective layer on the surface.

The film of the carrier on the surface of the cast aluminum part is resistant to corrosion, so no special treatment is required in many applications, and only the cast aluminum piece and the previously selected abrasive are required to be placed in the drum. By barreling, you can directly obtain a better surface.

Although polishing can promote the smoothness of the surface of the cast aluminum part and provide it with corresponding reflectivity, the result is still largely dependent on the hardness of the cast aluminum part. If you want to get better results from shot peening, try to get better anti-corrosion by painting, plating and anode treatment, and it can make the surface of the parts more beautiful.

For cast aluminum parts, there are many kinds of chemical dip coating methods that allow them to obtain decorative corrosion-resistant coatings. If high wear resistance is required, only chemical treatment is not enough. It can be pretreated before painting.

For example, the chemical solvent remaining on the surface of the cast aluminum part is rinsed with water, and then dried with a clean cloth or dried naturally. If it is necessary to paint the cast aluminum parts, it should be completed as soon as possible to avoid any foreign matter on the surface.

If a properly used primer is used, then the cast aluminum part can also be processed relatively quickly, so that the surface of the workpiece can be quickly obtained with the desired protective layer.
